Band 6 Occupational Therapist - Hertfordshire

We're currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a busy acute hospital service in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.


This is an excellent opportunity for an OT with strong acute hospital experience who is confident managing a varied caseload, with a particular focus on surgical and orthopaedic patients.


Key Responsibilities

• Assess, treat and discharge patients within acute surgical and orthopaedic pathways
• Complete functional assessments and rehabilitation planning
• Facilitate safe and effective discharge arrangements
• Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records

Essential Requirements


✅ HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist
✅ Previous NHS Band 6 experience preferred
✅ Acute inpatient Occupational Therapy experience
✅ Confident managing surgical and orthopaedic caseloads
✅ Strong discharge planning and rehabilitation skills
✅ Excellent communication and MDT working abilities

⏰ Hours: Up to 30 Hours per Week
📆 Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
🕘 Shift Times: 09:00-17:00 or 09:30-17:30 (rota dependent)
